- May 2024. JP’s paper An Online Approach to Solving Public Transit Stationing and Dispatch Problem has been presented with the best paper award at the 15th ACM/IEEE International Conference on Cyber-Physical Systems.
- June 2023. Mike and Sophie’s demo Microtransit Optimizer for Mobility-on-Demand has been presented with the best demo award at the 9TH IEEE International Conference on Smart Computing.
- Mar 2023. We will be hosting a Short-Term Course with IITBHU on “Advanced Data Analytics and Cyber-Physical Systems for Urban Mobility” on March 13th to 17th. Please see the technical program schedule here.
- Jan 2023. Our work with Tennessee Department of Transportation to predict crash likelihood and design proactive stationing strategies was identified as a high value project in the Safety, Security, and Emergencies category by the AASHTO Research Advisory Committee. It was presented at TRB 2023 as a poster.

- July 2022. Ayan’s and Mike’s paper on ADVISER AI-Driven Vaccination Intervention Optimiser for Increasing Vaccine Uptake in Nigeria won the AI for Good Best Paper Award at the 31st International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence.
- June 2022. Shreyas’s and Baiting’s paper on ANTI-CARLA:An Adversarial Testing Framework for Autonomous Vehicles in CARLA was accepted at the 2022 IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITSC).
- May 2022. Shreyas’s paper on Automating Pattern Selection for Assurance Case Development of Cyber-Physical Systems was accepted at the 2022 International Conference on Computer Safety, Reliability and Security (SAFECOMP).
- April 2022. Two papers from our group from the smart transit project, Offline Vehicle Routing Problem with Online Bookings(main track, acceptance rate 15%) and ADVISER AI-Driven Vaccination Intervention Optimiser for Increasing Vaccine Uptake in Nigeria (AI for Social Good Track) were accepted at IJCAI 2022.

- Decemeber 2021. Geoff’s paper on Hierarchical Planning for Dynamic Resource Allocation in Smart and Connected Communities was accepted for publication at ACM Transactions on Cyber-Physical Systems.
- November 2021. Our survey on Incident Prediction, Resource Allocation, and Dispatch Models for Emergency Management was accepted for publication at the Elsevier Accident Analysis and Prevention.
- October 2021. Our paper on WildfireDB - An Open-Source Dataset Connecting Wildfire Spread with Relevant Determinants was accepted into the proceedings of NeurIPS 2021, Datasets and Benchmarks track.
- September 2021. Our paper on Practitioner-Centric Approach for Early Incident Detection Using Crowdsourced Data for Emergency Services was accepted to appear at ICDM 2021.
- August 2021. Ayan and Sayyed gave a tutorial on multi-agent emergency response systems at the SmartComp 2021 Conference.
- August 2021. Our paper on Efficient Out-of-Distribution Detection for Learning Enabled Cyber-Physical Systems was accepted for the ACM Transactions of Cyber-Physical Systems.
- July 2021. Our paper on sparse incident model estimation was accepted at Smartcomp 2021.
- June 2021. Our paper on energy prediction and emission estimation using inductive transfer learning and multi task learning was accepted at ECML PKDD 2021. The code and data are available at our github repository
- May 2021. We are working on a customized transit simulation gym for analysis Transit-Gym-A Simulation and Evaluation Engine for Analysis of Bus Transit Systems. - April 2021. The poster about our smart transit work will appear at the 2021 SCC PI Meeting.
- April 2021. The poster about our work in the domain of emergency response was presented in the TDOT Innovation forum 2021.
- March 2021. Our paper Data driven methods for effective micromobility parking was accepted in the Transportation Research Interdisciplinary Perspectives journal.

Two papers Power-Attack - A comprehensive tool-chain for modeling and simulating attacks in power systems and RT-METER - A Real-Time, Multi-Layer Cyber–Power Testbed for Resiliency Analysis were accepted at the 9th Workshop on Modeling and Simulation of Cyber-Physical Energy Systems, MSCPES@CPSIoTWeek.
- March 2021. Our paper ReSonAte - A Runtime Risk Assessment Framework for Autonomous Systems was accepted at 16th International Symposium on Software Engineering for Adaptive and Self-Managing Systems.
- Dec 2020. Our paper on heirarchical planning for resource allocation in emergency response systems was accepted at ICCPS 2021.
- Dec 2020. Three papers from our team will be presented at various events in the AAAI 2021. Minimizing Energy Use of Mixed-Fleet Public Transit for Fixed-Route Service was accepted for the main conference. Efficient Data Management for Intelligent Urban Mobility Systems and Predicting Public Transportation Load to Estimate the Probability of Social Distancing Violations were accepted in the workhop on AI for urban mobility at the event.
- Dec 2020. Our paper Decision Support Framework for Grid-Aware Electric Bus Charge Scheduling was accepted for the Innovative Smart Grid Technologies Conference (ISGT) 2020.
- Dec 2020. A review report on the HD-EMMA project is now available.
- Nov 2020. Our paper Data-Driven Prediction and Optimization of Energy Use for Transit Fleets of Electric and ICE Vehicles describing the HD-EMMA project was accepted to be published in the ACM Transactions on Internet Technology (TOIT).
- Nov 2020. Our paper Hybrid Electric Buses Fuel Consumption Prediction Based on Real-World Driving Data describing microprediction models was accepted to be published in Transportation Research Part D.
- Oct 2020. Our paper Impact of COVID-19 on Public Transit Accessibility and Ridership analyzing the impact of COVID-19 on pubic transit in Nashville and Chattanooga was accepted for presentation at the TRB Conference.
